About Brands for Future

Brands for Future

In 2007, a stay in Germany was planned for a maximum of two years, so that my wife could prepare for her specialist examination. For this period, I had planned to pack a container with contemporary, sustainable design from southern Africa and sell it in a small shop in Berlin.

The products were quickly well received not only by customers but also by other retailers, and so regular imports started soon after, and the wholesale branch followed as soon as 2008.

The two years passed, my wife was now a medical specialist, our first child was born and Cape Times was profitable for the first time. And so we decided to stay in Berlin.

In the meantime, Cape Times, or rather the B2B division Brands for Future, has become an established importer, especially of Luna Designs picture frames made of reclaimed wood, as well as the world-famous ceramics by Wonki Ware.

In addition, the team is currently developing a B2B2C platform and marketplace for sustainable interior and lifestyle products: MTMfair.com
